10 new things about me –

1. I drink my coffee with cream, no sugar.

2. I have reached the point where I am glad to be done raising babies and don’t want any more for myself. I have 22 years of child rearing under my belt and the youngest is only 3 which means I have about 20 more to go. At the age of 43 that is frightening.

3. I am addicted to Facebook right now.

4. Very few people that I know in real life know about my blog. They aren’t computer literate for the most part and don’t understand the Geek Empire I live in being married to a software architect.

5. I check my stats once a week. Monday thru Wednesday is the biggest traffic days for bigredcouch.com with the largest number of visitors (not just to this blog) being 872 new visits in the last month as the highest number to day for one day. People rarely comment and though I don’t write for the sake of getting comments it can be disheartening and I have considered closing this blog more than once.

6. I have had a personal website since 1996.

7. I have had a blog in various forms since 1999.

8. The most popular page here is the wrap skirt tutorial. It has been linked to by thousands of other websites.

9. Not one of those people who use the tutorial leave a thank you. I usually find their blog post about making the skirt using my pattern but no word of thanks.

10. People have been stealing the images from my blog and reposting them on their own blogs. I have come to the conclusion that I will have to watermark every photo from now on, internet etiquette is something many people do not practice and more often than not people assume if it is on the internet it is free for the taking. Let this be a warning that often when I find my images being used without permission that I do often change them to very very ugly and not nice images so that the world knows the image was stolen. If this is you, please ask to use anything found here.
